We contracted with The Virginia Bath Company to renovate our primary bathroom. From start to finish, it was very easy to work with Rich. He listened to what we liked/didn’t like about our existing bath, took into account what we hoped to achieve with the renovation, and then offered his expertise that resulted in a better layout and functionality of our space. With the plan in place, he provided a workable deadline for making our finish selections to enable him to began work as scheduled. Throughout the project, Rich was diligent about keeping us apprised of the workflow and progress. Our renovated bathroom was completed as promised and on time, and the quality of his craftsmanship is top notch. The Virginia Bath Company is amazing! We heard about the company on a neighborhood social media platform, where it was highly recommended. We got estimates, and The Virginia Bath Company's Rich Sowinski, the contractor who took on our master bath project, told us the project would take about three weeks, exclusive of the shower enclosure installation. It actually took...three weeks! We were amazed, and the quality of the work is exactly what we hoped for. Rich is easy to communicate with; replies to emails quickly; provides a clear schedule; is punctual, friendly and positive; and does stellar and professional work. Everywhere we went to pick out materials (tile, cabinetry, etc.), as soon as we mentioned who was doing our bath, we heard, "Oh, he's excellent!"
Naturally, Virginia Bath Company is in high demand, so if you live in the Williamsburg/Hampton Roads area and you're considering a bath remodel, be aware that Rich schedules projects months in advance. You won't regret using The Virginia Bath Company--we've already recommended Rich and VBC to friends!

We have now used VBC for 6 baths in two homes and our only regret is not having more bathrooms for them to help us with. Having had experience in building several homes I can honestly say that this is the finest contractor I’ve ever worked with, bar none. A detailed quotation was provided in a timely manner for the project and all was completed on time and within budget. Rich Sowinski is refreshingly organized, punctual, and pleasant to be around. Our home was respected throughout the work period and was cleaned everyday. Their work is impeccable, but more importantly their level of detail and communication is faultless. Rich and Mike have a longterm core of subcontractors/suppliers, i.e. painters, glass works, plumbers, etc. and the respect they have for each other is just refreshing. With pleasure we summarize our experience with The Virginia Bath Company. Our goal was to remodel an outdated builder grade guest bath. Following an interview with Rich S. and review of the proposed contract, (which turned out to be very near the final cost!) our experience with this company began. We were excited to begin the remodel with Rich and Mike arriving ON THE DATE AT THE TIME they had indicated in a final pre- remodel meeting! We were impressed that on each workday they arrived on time and completed tasks as scheduled with professional workmanship and attention to detail. As with some/ most/ many projects, the unexpected occurred related to the placement of some pipes and valves behind the bath/ shower insert which could not have been noted prior to its removal. This team presented alternatives and contacted a plumber to work around this unexpected dilemma. As it turns out, their suggestion actually enhances the functionality of the shower! We found Rich and Mike easy to work with when requests were made (i.e. dimmer switch addition and moving a towel bar FIVE inches) because we honestly believe that their aim is to make sure you are truly happy with the results of your bath remodel. In our case, goal accomplished! Our highest compliment: we have recommended this company to friends! We know they will be as happy with their experiences and resulting beautiful baths as we are!!!

The project was to demolish and rebuild a 50 year old bathroom. From the time of Rich's first visit to the time the work was completed, Rich and Mike were a pleasure to have in our home. The project took just over 3 weeks to complete, starting on time and finishing on time. Every morning at 7.15 am sharp they started work - you could set the clock by it.
Rich is a great communicator and always responsive. He took great pains to ensure we knew exactly what was happening each day and that everything was as we wanted it to be.
There is a rare level of integrity in the way they do business. The demolition revealed excessive water damage to the floor and wall joists. The rotten timber was cleaned out, the floor and damaged joists were replaced - not a nickel was added to the contract.
We can't speak highly enough of Rich and Mike and the quality of the work they love doing. They are both great guys and top notch skilled professionals in every way. If you are in the market for a bathroom remodel, save yourself a lot of time, pain and hassles - get a quote from Rich, accept it and enjoy the ride! You won't regret the decision.

WOW! One of the best companies we have ever employed. They fulfilled the four “P” for us: They were Professional, Prompt, Punctual and Prepared. Other attributes of Rich and Mike are they were: communicative, knowledgeable, congenial, efficient, respectful, and resourceful.
The reconstruction of our bathroom was a major job. The remodeling consisted of installing a new shower, porcelain flooring and shower tile with epoxy grout, insulation, tub glass enclosure, shower rain head, and a shower quartz shower bench and counter top. . Rich made the shower handicap accessible by using a door that swing inwards or outwards.
Rich and Mike were always respectful, well organized, and their work was impeccable. We were greeted each morning with a smile, and “How are you”?, They acknowledged our dog with a petting. Rich and Mike discussed any concerns we might have, and they offered suggestions to improve the design. They were respectful of our home by making sure that the work area was tidy, both inside and outside, and that our floors were protected with a covering.
They used only quality products, and were aware of of our budget constraints. Rich and Mike were consummate professionals.. The bathroom was impeccable and beautiful. Additionally, they guaranteed their work, and offered to return if we had questions or issues.
Working with them was a phenomenal experience.. We highly and enthusiastically recommend them for a bathroom for a
bathroom. We give them an A plus, plus.

Rich made the whole process really easy for us. He gave us a list of quality vendors he works with for tile, bathroom fixtures etc. We scheduled the project 9 months in advance and he was always super responsive to all of our questions.
We appreciated that he was open to us doing some of our own work, and was flexible with little changes we decided on over the 6 months before they started the remodel. We went from considering painting our old vanity, to making new doors, to scrapping it all together and building our own custom vanity.
During the project, they were happy to answer any questions or concerns we had along the way, and Rich and Mike always had a very positive attitude. Rich would tell us every day what they were going to do and let us know what to expect in the next few days ahead.
We received a contract with an estimate when we scheduled and Rich had all the costs laid out. We added a couple things here and there and he let me know what each addition cost, so there were no surprises at the end of the project. I really appreciated his communication the most throughout the whole remodeling process.
I was surprised at the amount of 5 star reviews they had when we were searching for a contractor but now I know why. I would not choose anyone else to remodel a bathroom. They are the best!
